CATCH UP

So I am playing catch up- it was very ambitious to want to blog throughout my trip but as you can see it is not always easy and can take up valuable travel time. I have notes which when I have time to sit and write about the rest of my adventures I will fill in the gaps but all in all I had an amazing trip, met amazing people, saw tons of new places, experienced a number of new cultures, and cannot express enough how valuable and well deserved that trip was- after numerous years working a number of jobs and "putting in my time" with life events, there I was!

Currently back in New York for the time being. I was hired for a good job working with children (my calling I think) and am enjoying it so far. I get to plan and implement activities as well as be creative and use my imagination every day. My immune system is getting a run for its money but hope it will slowly build up.

I am pursuing a worldwide yoga challange currently, and although I have had to push myself to stay on track with it, all in all it's been a good thing.  Also I am preferring to spend my friday nights learning about things and planing some of my next adventures lately.  Enjoying the outdoors as much as I can and embracing the fact that pretty much everyday I get to see the sunrise on my way into work. Even on my off days I am utilizing all my hours- as right now it is Saturday of a 3 day weekend and I was up before 6:30 and makign use of my time...hence updating this so early, and finally getting around to it!

The other day I got the highest bowling score I've ever gotten.. a 154 and that is after not bowling for a solid year and 2 months. I guess encouragement to keep trying things I wasn't good at in the past, as well as give things a second chance...sometimes the second time around you have better luck!

My mom's surgery went well and she is recovering alright- i really hope she truly rests like she was told so she doesn't have any problems in the future but my dad is being very good with her and he is even cooking dinner, dishes, laundry, etc. It's actually really cute, she can't come up the stairs so he sleeps on the couch so she doesn't have to sleep downstairs by herself- even though she told him it's fine and he can go sleep in the bed. He has been suprising me lately- finally starting to relax (about some things), you can't stay wound that tight forever I guess haha.

Alright, after ignoring my stomach talking for the past hour I feel it's time to go and cook some breakfast and physically start my day (mentally i've already done a number of computer tasks).

Signing off!
